2008 Special Recognition and Awards

Each year, the Alumni Association awards scholarships to deserving students in areas of academic excellence and achievement. Each scholarship is funded by alumni. This year the student scholarships were awarded in Homecoming Chapel, Friday, October 10, 2008.


Two $1,000 Alumni Scholarships were awarded:

• Academic Achievement – Michael Weaver, Senior, Philosophy & Religion Major
• Academic Excellence – Jonathan Reibsome, Senior, Communications Major

TFA Memorial Scholarship – Danielle Patterson, Junior, Youth Ministry


Daryle Worley “High C” Scholarship – Heather Hurlbut, Senior, Music Performance Major


Special Recognition was given to three individuals during Homecoming 2008. They were:

Miss Sett was presented with a plaque honoring her many years of service to the Toccoa Falls Students. This was presented at a special smorgasbord luncheon held in her honor at LeTourneau Hall, Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Mrs. Alicia Celorio received a plaque presented posthumously to her husband, Justino, for his many years of dedicated support to Toccoa Falls College. This was presented at the Alumni Brunch, Saturday, October 11, 2008.

Mrs. Miriam Fowler received a plaque presented posthumously to her husband, Jerry, for his many years of dedicated support to Toccoa Falls College. This was presented at the Alumni Brunch, Saturday, October 11, 2008.
