TFAA Special Recognition and Awards
The Toccoa Falls Alumni Association acknowledges outstanding individuals each year at Homecoming who have distinguished themselves through their service and commitment to Christ as Christian lay people, or for outstanding athletic achievement while at Toccoa Falls College. This recognition and award program is the Alumni Association’s most visible way of acknowledging the measure of personal achievement that is the hallmark of Toccoa Falls College.
Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Award
Alumnus and Alumna of the Year recipients shall be alumni who have distinguished themselves through outstanding leadership and achievements, or who have in some other way made a major contribution in the lives of others, whether at Toccoa Falls or to society in general.
Alumni Service Award
Alumni Service Award recipients shall be individuals, not necessarily from the Alumni Association, who are recognized for their service-oriented achievements and outstanding contributions over a period of time, enhancing the stature, success, and well-being of Toccoa Falls College and/or its alumni.
Alumni Athletic Award (Eagle O’Fame)
Alumni Athletic Award recipients shall be chosen by the Toccoa Falls Alumni Association Board of Directors in conjunction with the coaches of Toccoa Falls College, in recognition of those who have excelled in athletic endeavors while at Toccoa Falls. These individuals must have been out of school for five years or more.
Rising Alumni Award (Note: It is recommended that Student Affairs be consulted for a recommendation for the recipient of this award.)
For the Rising Alumni Award:
-
1. The recipient may be either male or female.
2. The recipient must be a graduating senior, either fall or spring.
3. The recipient is to be a loyal, enthusiastic, and exemplary representative of what Toccoa Falls College is all about.
4. Academic achievement may be considered, but is not to be a strong measuring tool.
5. Attention should be given to the recipient’s overall attitude; interaction with other student, professors, and staff members; Student Ministry involvement; and demonstration of his/her daily walk with the Lord.
6. The recipient should model, both on the campus and hopefully in his/her future, a personification of what Toccoa Falls represents—“developing character with intellect.”
7. The recipient should have a strong commitment to the college and its spiritual and intellectual impact throughout the world.
8. The Rising Alumni Award will be presented at Homecoming each year provided a worthy recipient is recommended and accepted.
