5. Chapel/Dining Hall
Dr. Forrest approached the center of campus sometime in 1914 with a briar hook and axe and cleared a spot for a permanent dining room and kitchen. The college had no funds, so he gathered his faculty and staff members together to pray. They marched around the clearing, claiming it in the name of the Lord. Money came at regular intervals until the entire project was complete in 1918. Mrs. Evelyn Forrest remarked, “What exciting times these were; times of great faith.” This marker is donated by the Toccoa Falls Academy Class of 1971.
