Alan Plaza (1993)

Alan Matthew Plaza, 47, died May 12, 2008, at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He was born in Bayshore, New York, and lived in Port St. Lucie for 10 years, coming from New Hampshire. He was an associate pastor for the Lighthouse Chapel in Port St. Lucie for 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Plaza of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Vanessa E. Plaza and Kathy M. Plaza, both of Port St. Lucie; father, Alexander Plaza of Port St. Lucie; sister, Leonoca P. Wright of Essex Junction, Vermont; and brothers, Scott Plaza of Essex Junction and Mark Plaza of Cold Creek Canyon, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Plaza.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. May 15 and noon to 1 p.m. May 16 at Aycock Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie. A service was held 1 p.m. May 16 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Timothy Richter officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Memorial Park in Palm City.
