Report from College President
Dear Friend,
This has been a financially uncertain year with stocks rising and plummeting, with interest rates fluctuating, and with major financial institutions needing to be bailed out. What is certain throughout these troublesome times, however, is the steady Hand of our Father who created all things, and “without Him nothing was made.”
There are no surprises with God who sees through very different lenses than the rest of us. He knows what lies ahead for us as individuals and for a country, and He waits for us to ask Him for direction in handling our finances. As God blesses us with financial bounty, He expects us to be good stewards. And part of that stewardship includes gifting to charitable organizations such as
Toccoa Falls College.
As we approach the end of another year, would you consider including
Toccoa Falls College in your giving ministry? Several options are available that are a win-win situation for you and for the college. Some gift options provide income and tax breaks for you and scholarship income for our students. The enclosed brochure gives brief descriptions of each option. If you would like additional information on any topic or would like a personal visit from one of our Development Officers, please call the Advancement Office at (706) 886-6831 or email one of these individuals: Sharon Sanderson at ssanderson @ tfc.edu, Dale Leinbach at dleinbach @ tfc.edu, or Bucky Plyler at wplyler @ tfc.edu.
God bless you as you make your end-of-year financial decisions. I trust you will consider Toccoa Falls College.
Sincerely in Christ,

W. Wayne Gardner
President
P.S. The House passed the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act on October 3, 2008, allowing an extension of the IRA Charitable Rollover to IRA owners 70 ½ years of age for 2008 and 2009. This will save you taxes when you make a donation to TFC before December 2008.
